Demolition Estimator – Burnaby
Job Title: Demolition Estimator – Structural Demolition
Location: Burnaby, BC (Remote ATM)
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 Salary + Bonus + Benefits
- Prepare detailed, full-cost demolition estimates including labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor inputs.
- Conduct site visits as required to assess scope and logistics.
- Develop and maintain a reliable list of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Establish accurate unit costs, productivity rates, and location-specific pricing factors.
- Prepare and deliver competitive proposals for a variety of project sizes and complexities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operational teams to ensure cost alignment and schedule feasibility.
- Track bid status, follow up on opportunities, and support business development by building relationships with new and existing clients.
- Utilize estimating software and internal systems to streamline proposal development.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on constructability and value engineering opportunities.
- Ensure all estimates meet client expectations, are completed on time, and reflect a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating, preferably within the demolition or construction industry.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Bluebeam or B2W is a strong asset.
- Experience with construction/demolition takeoffs and estimating software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
